Glow plugs won't turn off

Help. My 1986 ex RAF 90. Had a flat batteryCharged it today tried to start it.The choke/heater plug light won't go out.Glow plugs won't turn off without removing the battery. Do I need a new ignition switch or is there a relay somewhere.This is not a hobby land rover it's my only transport so it needs fixing ASAP. This LR has never let me down in 12 years.

There will be a relay and is probably stuck closed.

have a look in the fuse box theres usualy a diagram of which fuse or relay for whatever circuit in the lid
