Hi, seems that following the FIP disaster on this car there are now 2 other problems. When P38 is hot it won't start or takes ages to start. Think there is no electric getting to the plugs, or so I've been told. Is this easy to solve and do I need to change the plugs at same time? Also, air supension looks higher at the back than the front..? I think the front airbags were replaced in Dec last yr, but wonder if rear one now gone? How can I check this? Really grateful for help on this site...its great.

Glow plugs do not come on when engine is hot, unless you fit a hot start fix. Check spill pipes and get pump timing checked. Also check that in tank pump is working.

Glowplugs do not come in to play for hot starts. Either low cranking speed or worn FIP, do a search on Hot Start mod.
Height problems are most likely a sensor.

Don't be sorry mate it's nice to know that sometimes my thoughts are on the right lines:)

Came back from Spain on Tuesday. Northern France apart from about a hundred yards of coastline was totally zonked in. I take it you were under that lot somewhere.
