I dont own a D2, but I believe its fuse 33 also should be stated in the workshop manual and possibly your owners handbook.Hey Folks ,

Ok, so much like the D1 then, for the glove box to illuminate when the lid is opened the lighting switch has to be turned to the first position which is side lights, as we all know its because it picks up its supply from the left hand side light 12v supply. The headlight switch has to be turned on for the glovebox light to illuminate.
Well done for your persistence!!!Well folks after weeks and weeks of trying to work out the issue I was having with my instrument cluster illumination blowing Fuse 3 it turned out to be the glove box light was knocking against the metal recess in which it’s situated as one side of the cover had a broken lug.
I am totally rubbish at looking at wiring diagrams but I bet that bulb would have been there to find had you looked. Please don't take this as a criticism, all those on here who know me know how much I hate electronix. Thanks , no I was cleaning out the car and when I opened the glove box I noticed the light was hanging loose a bit went to pop it back in and ping it blew the fuse
Never a truer word spoke mate!!!Electrics are never straight forward Bud
Well done, some times the bleedin' obvious just evades you as I can vouch for when mine blew the HRW fuse every time I used it (all my own fault as I'd trapped the HRW wire when I changed the tailgate door hinges last year) ! It to took a bit of tracking down.Well folks after weeks and weeks of trying to work out the issue I was having with my instrument cluster illumination blowing Fuse 3 it turned out to be the glove box light was knocking against the metal recess in which it’s situated as one side of the cover had a broken lug.
If you look at the attachment the glove box lamp is connected to the instrument pack. Circuit diagrams 00MY RHD.pdfJust so frustrating and tone consuming Bud. As you started it’s so bloody obvious sometimes. Strange 3 fuse does even relate to the glove box light etc.
Oh dear your link is coming up as an ErrorIf you look at the attachment the glove box lamp is connected to the instrument pack. Circuit diagrams 00MY RHD.pdf
I know me & computers but the wiring diagram shows the GB light on the same circuit as the instrument pack, pg 46.1 of the circuit diagrams.Oh dear your link is coming up as an Error
