if yu talkin about me - i stil dont like Freelanders - I think that they are good looking, badly designed, badly built and, on personal experience, unreliable vehicles. That dont mean they are "crap". It means that if the drive train and chassis woz sorted out - it would be a class leader. I just changed mine for a boring, but reliable Jap X-Trail.
If yu talkin about Trooperdriver - I think he was a figment of our imagination - he needs to put his money where his mouth is ;)

mornin Chris and LR :D

Oh I see, well I still have mine despite all the faults............I actually like it. Only been off road twice, but didn't buy it for that.
It has it's problems.........I think it's probably going to die pretty soon if I don't get it to the garage!!! Sort of grinding noise coming from it?? Not sure what it is or where it's coming from??? Only makes the noise when it's moving.........slows down and stops completely as the car slows down?? Very odd!!

cats eyes - start a new thread - if ya vcu is shot it will knacker ya IRD in no time - then yu got twice the prob.

Minge, Mondeo or Clutchdust shd be able to help ya.

ps - we cant all have impecable taste (like me) ;):p

All this started as a LAUGH but after checking out the ITOC site I found the VOSA recall site and there are more recalls for LandRover than any Isuzu http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/searches/search.asp So if you do have a crappy FLander or any other LR check it out and see if all or any relates to your vehicle anyway Giggle Giggle Giggle LOL PS I had a FLander it broke down all the time so I bought a Trooper with all of the recalls done so I think it could possibly be a good vehicle and NOT a total crap FLander

Well I can't moan about mine too much 119*** (can't remember the exact No) on the clock and she's sort of still going :)

I think people should drive what they want/can afford :)

One of the main reasons I bought a Trooper is a aquantance of mine has a 3.0 td which has 294k on the clock from new and has not had any work done on the engine apart from the recall notices so 119k has a little catching up to do Regards
