yup
first things first tho - see if it works.
If it does, 110volt cutter/grinder is about 30 squids or so. Transformer is about £100.

transformers and tools occasionally pop up at boot sales for next to nothing.....all my 110 tools are good brands bought used for peanuts off ebay or at boot sales. ....mostly bosch, hitachi or metabo

genny isnt powerfull enuf to weld.
and i can do that at home - only need to cut up away from home.

Miller weldng make's a 100 volt one works real good 1/8 6011 no problem.Only trouble is.. where are you gonna find a 110v welder

US ones will be 110v and i know hss hire out 110v 180a mig welders

stripped complete fuel system, cleaned it all out - it was blocked solid!.
derusted and resprayed the rusty bits.
tried powering it up - it runs and puts out (no load) about 135V AC - woohoo)
it runs a bit lumpy tho and thats, most likely, due to knackered jets and broken gaskets in the carb. Overhaul kit next. Soon be ready to cut up stuff.

ordered overhaul kit - takes about a week.
I reckon total cost is going to be circa £100. not bad for a fully checked, rebuilt and serviced 3Kw genny .
