evening all ive got a new headache... ive got a RR classic that had an old skool discovery engine and gearbox (imperial). my head gasket failed/failing so i got my hands on a 200tdi lump and gear box(metric) stripped and rebuilt the new 200tdi lump plonked her in and then realised the differences between the two metric-imperial ive over come all the running issuesand she runs sweet.... i now have a noisey transfer box, will the innereds of the 200tdi transfer box fit in to the old skool transfer box cassing? or will the geometery be out on the cogs? it seems a easier route to go rather then dropping the whole gear box out?

rrc and discovery never had imperial transmission, apart from 3 speed auto,do you mean you have a 4 speed lt95(metric bolts) and you want to fit lt230 parts in it ?(you cant )

basically original engine was from a G plate disco now the new engine from a M plate.
i replaced the master slave cylinder and that required imperial threads both boxes are manual 5 speed
