gearbox auto overheat

Hi All
my beloved rangey is telling me i have gearbox overheat! but it seems fine! its not giving any problems drives fine.
Any suggestions?

If it is overheating and you ignore it, then you may well have more problems than you will ever need. Look for the cause and sort it. There is a temp sensor on the side of the oil cooler. Maybe that is duff maybe your oil cooler matrix is blocked. Maybe you are low on fluid. Needs investigating. Either that or maybe a £1000.00 + for a new box, take your pick.

Mine was a sensor issue, an easy diagnosis in mine as it used to come on from first start up during the middle of winter!!

Easy fix in my case as it the connection wasn't a 100%. A bit of fiddling and it hasn't been on since.
