l'm just about to do both diff's and transfere box and in my manual says use 75/w 90r mutli gear oil.
In halfords they only seem to sell it in one litre bottles (and expensive) but noticed screwfix sell Carlube EP80/w 90 gear oil.

Whats the difference and can i use this ? (its less than half the price)

Thanks

Have a look at difflocks web site. Have some good oil made for land rovers. Don't cost the earth.

Redhand is correct find out where the local s***kickers ( sorry Farmers) buy their lube from, most agricultural towns/markets have some sort of agri supply company - failing that come off roading in Wales we'll sell you some.

I am about to do the same job, bought a 500ml bottle with the long spout to fill the diff's up from , but also grabbed a 5ltr can from work as well (to top up the smaller bottle) makes it easier to judge how much your sticking in as well, roughly 3 and a half bottles per axel.
