gbox woes

hi p38 very early one will change 1st to second ok sligtley slower into 3rd and thats it oil appears clean have had some problems with eas and waiting for part but are they connected in any waywish i still used my classic this thing is an animal hope someone can help

Petrol or diesel? Do the correct indicators light on the dash and next the gear lever? Is the sport mode light on or off and does it work if you press the switch?
Have you checked the oil level? Engine cold idling in neutral?

have checked level ok the sport mode will only flash on not stay on the gear selecter ligts are flashing and the dash light tells yuo to engage neutral when its in park but it will start in either thanks for the reply steve

Sounds like either bad earths or connections or perhaps the XYZ decoder, you need to get it on a diagnostic system.
