Anyone else had top fun in the snow today ? Took our TD4 out and was quite frankly amazed ! Did a little recce in it first thing to see what the roads were like before going off to work in my Transit, it was so easy i thought its not so bad ! Got home took van out and struggled to even make it down the road. On the way got phone call to say no-one else was going to make it in, so went home took out fl and went playing. Haven't smiled so much since MK 2 escort in the wet days.:D

I know what you mean about the mk2 escort days, I drive a mk5 cortina. I didn't go into work today!!

There's no way I'm turning my pride and joy into a sideways sledge, them welsh hills are a little steep and I gotta go down a real steep one to get out of my road!

See pic.

Yer big wuss!
get yersell a hippo :p

yer know it makes sence!

No fkn way. i like them but workin in a dealership sees the real bad side, my cortina starts every time and I aint got ECU's to worry about.

Good old carburettor with points ignition, cant go wrong, and if it does, it can be sorted at the roadside with basic tools, no bloody computers to connect to it.

I could have gone to work this morning, but on the money they pay me, why should I risk wrecking my motor?

In all honesty, I miss my suzuki vitara, bloody brilliant car, in the 5 years (60,000 miles) I owned it, it NEVER went wrong or broke down and its not like i didnt cane it off road ,cos it got a bashing big styleeee! I'll dig out some pics and get 'em on here!

i had a trans am some time back and it wur the worst thing ever fer in the snow.. a nice gentle10mph in a straight line and it still swapped ends.. it was a close call between that and me mercury cougar
