Hi all,

I have filled the car up today with diesel and have found fuel leaking over the rear box of the exhaust. It is definately fuel and enough to cause concern. Is there any tips on removing the tank. I am fairly proficient in using spanners but not a mechanic, although have managed to replace the transmission viscous coupler and transmission filter etc myself.

I have looked for threads but most refer to the fuel pump. Mine seems ok no issues, it's just this leak. I can see that I can get a replacement tank for about £60 on flea bay but aware that the fuel system will need to be bled once the fuel has been drained etc.

Any tips very wlcome please.

Cheers

Check the rubber pipe that connect filler neck to tank. You will have to remove arch cover to see it properly.

Cheers guys,

That is a relief to think that I may not need to remove it. Will look at the filler pipe etc after the celebrations and hang over have diminished later.
