Hi all

I have no warning lights for this or codes but ive noticed that the fuel cap although turning until it clicks isn't actually threading and locking into place as it should, I have also noticed the fuel tank opening isn't square with the opening. See picture. Worth replacing the fuel cap you reckon ir is this likely the reason it's no seating correctly or locking?

Anyone seen this before and have an easy repair they can suggest?

Thanks all

It's probably already had a replacement and quite common for the Chinesium aftermarket filler caps to fail in the way you describe, it's possible the previous owner pushed the filler neck in trying to get it to latch / lock in.
Have a look underneath, you'll see the bracket on the filler tube, which will (or the bit of metal it bolts to) be bent, unbolt it, push the neck back into place then look at how far out the fixings are, you'll then know which way & how much to bend it to get it back into alignment.
