Hi all, i need some help to help a friend, it's about a 2005 Td4 with the suplimentary pump behind the rear wheelarch, according to microcat only the WQB000020 pump would fit which is friggin expensive, anyone tried to fit a cheaper WFX500070 or WFX000200 instead? or at least can anyone enlight me what's the difference between them, the electric connector or what? , i'm confused :confused:

Not fitted but do query the expensive nature of these thing and many other parts too. I guess the cheaper version ie aftermarket relies on supply cost of material used and grading. Such expected lifespan of usage 10 years standard down to 3 years or possible replace by a better but cheaper part in the near future. Logic would say to find a later or last model of the freelander 1 on the scrap reclamation yard and buy that.

Those are the in tank pump units and not the one in the wheel arch

You need a WFX000181 or the later supercession part (LR0 something) it's the same pump as used in the 4.4 TdV8 on 2011 Range Rover models and is relatively cheap especially compared to some OE pump prices and comes with a 2 year parts and labour warranty.

Don't forget to replace the filter at the same time while the pump and filter assembly is out the car!
