Freelander 1 Fuel pump connections

55 plate petrol car. I get a smell of petrol on start up and shut off and I've traced it to the top of the fuel pump. I seem to be missing a blanking plug or vent pipe from the pump (see picture). Can anyone show me what I need and where to get it from please.

It’s a returnless fuel system so you should only have one pipe into the pump.

Is the “spare” connection solid or open?
