fuel pump clicking on edc pump

hi,
got a disco 1 1997 edc model , the fuel injection pumps clicks like a relay sort of noise when ignition is on and the engine is not running, been doing this since I bought it about 3 yrs ago so it may be normal but it is annoying ! so can anyone help thanks in advance

sounds like the fuel solenoid is "bouncing"

as I say its been doing it for about 3 but its interesting that somebody has the same noise but I do not like leaving the ignition on for any lenth of time in case it buggars something up

if they all do it then no probs but it just sounded wrong like a relay that could not make up its mind but thanks for help anyway

If it stops doing that you may have a problem...
