Greetings,

Just wanted to see what kind of MPG people were getting using 2.5na engines. The official figures I've seen give a combined figure of about 21.5, which seems quite low, really low actually. I'm sure I'm getting more than that, and that's with stop start driving up and down hills etc. I haven't done the calculations yet anyway.

Does anyone here run their 2.5na on veg oil as well?

Cheers. Tom.

Yes, I used to run my 2.5NA 90 on 80% bio diesel this gave me about 3mpg more than dino diesel so about 30mpg. Then I was heading for an engine swap and I ran it on veg oil about 50/50 and the IP packed in fairly smartish (I use it daily) so gave up.

Fitted a 300tdi, the bosch pump on the 300tdi takes this stuff much better (have been running the Disco with this stuff for yonks).

My N/A (which I rebuilt) achieves at least 30MPG on motorway runs and usually about 26-27 out and about (thats revving it's blocks off too) I thrash it about a bit.
