Just to clear up the pump from a omega will or wont work?
Just found an entire car for sale as an mot fail £260.
Would it be easyer just to swop it? Pull of the bits i can reuse then scrap the rest?
Pump mechanical will work...you'll need to change the electronic part for the Range Rover one as the Omega (or BMW) won't talk with the Engine ECU....

So if you're doing that you may as well just buy the seal kit and sort the one that's leaking in your engine bay and save yourself some time and money?!

I was hopeing - praying you would say somthing like its air in the injection pump due to the leak or its because the fuel pressures down
Just trying to see the light lol :( dont need another problem the wifes already giving me ear ache over the fuel leak

Anyone got the part number for the fuel pump and or the seal kit?
My dads mate is an enginer and he says hes striped loads of fuel pumps and he said he'll do it on his day off for £100 but he wants me to find the parts but i cant wait for ebay to deliver cos he wants the car tuesday.

£60 I wouldn't touch with a barge poll get a telescopic mirror and torch and have a root about there are two oval gaskets either side one can be got at in situ the other can not look like mirror time I did notice in that kit on eBay I couldn't see the oval shaped out side gasket .ps hope you left the air intake off as if not more work ;)

Dont think its them looks like it ferther back near the injector out pipes might be the second gasket
I getting tired of second guessing thinking of just getting another pump cos this car needs to be able to tow my caravan to cornwall easter weekend

As saint has said, but I don't believe in taking chances on a pump that has no history could even be worse than what you have your has a leak but works get it reconditioned your have your pump timings reset and another ten years free pump motoring or £60 and removal refit charges on a chance

You nothing to lose by doing the second gasket follow johnnys guide , have you taken up his offer ? If not mark everything make sure it locates back in the correct place score the side where you can get a clear view and reassemble if you match the sliding part in the right place the revs will be ok if you alter it by sliding Position in the wrong place your revs will go haywire your not altering the timing just the revs .

It's not unknown for an injector pipe to fracture.
