Was going to change the fuel filter today on my new (to me) 53 plate TD5.

I noticed on the one that's fitted that the drain is just the standard plastic screw, and the connector for the water in fuel sensor is just disconnected and tucked up by the pipes ??

Is it just that someone has either broke or not refitted the sensor to a new filter ? Can the sensor part be bought separately ?

I have no warning lights on the dash.

Thx

OK thx, good to know it's OK to leave it off. TBH I've had the sensor on my Diesel chrysler voyager for the past 15yrs, regularly changed the fuel filter and never seen a drop of water in it.

Thx
