Fuel filter

Hi all
I've just bought a fuel filter for my D2 V8 but after some time rolling around on the floor looking I can't find it
Has anyone replaced one before and if so where is it located

I don't have a D2 but after searching the WWW it appears it's part of your fuel pump.

Why are you changing it? Petrols rarely need a filter change as petrol itself is a solvent and disolves most the crap anyway....

That would explain why I can't find it
That leaves the question why did euro car parts supply me one if you can't replace it (mind you they did supply the wrong spark plugs)
The one they gave me is the type that would be connected to the fuel lines via a couple of banjo bolts

Its one of them parts that never gets changed
It would be done at a dealer around 40k but by then most owners are not using main dealers for servicing and there for it never get replaced
And it is 9 years old now with 110k on the clock

I've always replaced them if I'm likely to own the car for a bit

And they do get dirty, if you remove it and then tip the remaining fuel out via the in port you get a dirty brown fuel come out

"why did euro car-parts supply me one" Who knows you will have to ask them, perhaps they thought you said disco 1.
The replacement for the filter on a D1 is 60K or 4 years according LR but I've only done it once.
