Hi All, hope you are enjoying this weather. Can anyone tell me where the small pipe from the fuel filter goes to. It goes to a tee piece but after that I don't have a clue. it is a 2002 p38 2.5

Think you may mean the MAP sensor pipe. It goes from the MAP sensor bolted to top of filter to a nipple under the middle of manifold, you will have to feel for it. Should not be a T piece unless someone has fitted some sort of power box.

Mind you I you did not know it's chipped and take it of you will probably be disappointed with how it pulls.
He will if he doesn't connect the pipe between the inlet manifold and the MAP. When I got mine it wouldn't do above 50mph and took about a week to get there. I think one of the reasons I got it so cheap was because the PO thought the engine was knackered. Four quid to fix.

I have connected the pipe from the inlet manifold. All I need now is what should I do about the other pipes and tune up bits, The wiring for it is a large connector looks like it is coming from the block? car 6.jpg

I have been looking through my manual and the bit the blue pipe fits to is a EGR modulator valve. ( which most of you will already know ), so I won't be touching that. I found a photo of a psi power tuning box and it is the same as the one on my car. According to the photo it is just three plugs to disconnect and the blue tuning box can come out.

There’s 2 different psi boxes one for egr and one for pre. The bits plugged into the box go into where the box is plugged in if that makes sense. Big round one from FIP goes into block, t piece comes out and box with its loom.
You can leave it in if you want to itl just run rich on cold start fuel all the time if it’s working. Not great for heads/auto boxes/FIPs etc but won’t kill it overnight.

Many Thanks, I have sat and thought about the psi box and I think it might be best to leave it fitted. opinions gratefully received. The only problem I am left with is, where does the black and blue striped pipe from the egr modulator valve go to.

At the rear right hand side of the engine bay you will see a valve and a filter the EGR vacuum pipe goes from there to the EGR valve on the front of the manifold

You told him the fix afterwards?!
