Front wipers blowing fuses

Sorry if there is a post already about this but too much to search through

My front wipers keep blowing the fuses which as you can imagine can be very annoying, Sometimes its fine and other times as soon as the ignition is turned on the fuse blows regardless of whether the wipers are turned on or not.

Its a 1992 200tdi 90 i have checked the wires that go along the dash to the wiper motor and what i can see behind the speedo.

Any ideas gratefully recieved.

go to advanced search and search for "wiper fuse" only in the defender section.

Have read through but still dont help with my problems.

Phil Its strange they keep blowing your fuses I would try looking at the relay to see if its got any signs of damage i.e and heat damage of if it smells burnt. Somthing is drawing alot of current must be a dead short or mabe a faulty motor. there really isnt much else to go wrong, mabe a delay device/relay. Jai
