And if the car has another leak somewhere which makes the humidity inside of it above normal ??

where would this other leak somewhere else be?

You could also look for a leaking sunroof, a leaking aerial(antenna) or a left open window under heavy rainfall, not to mention fallen off doors while washing the car:D :D , options enough to have water/humidity in your car.

shirley if the leak wur at the back the back window would steam up and not the front or atleast moreso than the front and if it had bin washed then they wint steam up attall cos there wint be no door on it to cause a temp difference between outside and inside

True, but look at the other options, the sunroof and antenna are closer to the front ...:D also if one of the front windows left open ....??? (or the driver has pi...d his pants by reading all this ?????:p :p )

groping in the back seat causes misted up windows aswell.. you forgot that one or maybe localised bad weather above the dashboard would cause it.... or boiling a kettle while driving.. mmm! mm! getting a mcdonalds and putting yer coffee below the front window. but ah still think the most likey cause would be a holed heater core.

Meanwhile, back to the thread topic.

About two years back some chav broke my windscreen with a golf ball. Whilst waiting for the autoglass man to replace the window, I stripped down the valance under the windscreen and had a look in the cabin air intake. It was retaining a small amount of water.

A common prob on other Rover cars so worth checking out if ingress of water giving higher humidity, therefore misty windscreen.

Anti-fog by Rain-X stops windows fogging up. So does shaving foam apparently ???

bit difficult to see out past all that foam tho?
i wud suggest covering it on absorbant cloth - that wudnt stop the misting, but yu wudnt notice it much :D

I have the same misting problem also when I top up my water and tow my caravan going up hill had some vapour coming out in passenger footwell. On checking it would also seem on the large black pipe to the engine balck box in passenger side pink liquid or now dry looking up behind dash with tourch it would seem I have pink liquid this seems be where the hose comes from the engine to inside the car cannot see but are there clips on the passenger side that my have come lose? Not do want to take dash out to get to it is there another way?
