hi guys,i have a groaning noise coming from the front o/side of my p38,it seems to happen when braking but also when stationary when the suspension is levelling itself out,its very intermitent and not very loud,i wondered if it could be the shocks, seems to happen less when in m/way mode, any help would be much appreciated, cheers,Lee.

re my suspension noise, ive just had 4 new shocks fitted, still the noise persists, today i heard it from outside of the car while someone was driving it,it is loud and sounds like air escaping under pressure (sounds a bit like a sea lion!) its also seems to be more frequent now,the car rises and lowers fine and dosent drop at all, please help!

When the compressor stops high pressure air is exhausted from the gallery via the exhaust filter. So the gallery can be used for exhausting from bags if needed. Car cannot lower whilst compressor is running.

apologies for not responding sooner, internet has been testing my patience shall we say, thanks for the responses, much appreciated, where is the exhaust filter exactly?day off tomorrow and would like to try and get this sorted, thanks guys.

Looking from the front of the car, EAS box lower rear on the engine side. It's a little tube that screw in usually white in colour. Just remove it and see if the sound changes.
