Hi, I have hit a problem with my suspension. I currently have my front axle floating due to the radius arms being changed, among other things.

The problem I have, not shown in the pic due to the axle being on stands, is at full travel the brake pipes which are +50 mm are under tension and the springs, also + 50 mm, are loose and become dislocated. The shocks came with the springs in a 'kit'.

My question is this.

Is there a shock that will help support this without loosing to much travel on the front end?

I am worried that by going back to standard shocks I will loose said travel.

The Rangy will be used in ALRC competition's so need to stay as close to factory spec as possible

???

dont follow..??but if you just after limiting max axle travel, so as not to rip off brake lines and dislocate(is dislocate spelt correct??) springs..then add straps from axle to chassis..ie bolted onto chassis around axle..job done..or fit longer brake lines and spring dislcation cones..or shorter shocks..or..or..

but once radious arms installed max articulation is reduced anyway..by alot!..so problem may well disapear??

Cheers Zen. I can't fit dislocation (I spell it the same as you) cones under ALRC (club level anyway) rules. I have been looking on the bay of e and foune some idea's, also Google, came up with a set of HD tubular turrets at +2" (these are allowed I have asked) then I will set the axle to the hight I want and shorten the turrets so I get maximum travel. A bit of a faf I know but the cost is about the same as standard shocks.
