Having used a Freebie 2 on holiday, the only thing I really liked about it (apart from 150bhp) was the front seats ! Hated all the electrickery and auto wipers and keyless and auto lights and built in displays distracting you and telling you what to do !!!

So - has anyone either tried to fit Freelander 2 seats in the front of a Freelander 1 or found another nice leather seat that will fit from A N other vehicle ?

Thanks.............

Headed leather in mine is more than comfy enough for my liking. Find a set of HSE seats in good condition and fit those. They'll fit fine and you won't need to worry about issues with the seat belt. ;)

Mine is an ES with grey leather and so I guess they would be the same shape. Liked the edges which prevented me siding onto the floor during some spirited cornering ! If you could post a photo of driver's seat please? Would then need to change all interior to black - steering wheel, door cards etc which is fine if the seats will be better then mine ! Cheers................

The seats will be the same. The seats in the facelift SE are a slightly different shape with larger bolsters. SE seats also have Alcantara central panels which help prevent slipping on the seat. My SE seats have been fitted with aftermarket leather covers. I don't slip about on the seats and I don't corner like I'm driving MIss Daisy. ;)

Thanks for the photos - they look in very good condition but are the same as mine - thanks for the time to put the photos up. Anyone else near to you interested????

It's difficult to see the seats properly in this picture. But you can see they have more pronounced bolsters.
