Was wondering if the sliding joint on front prop should be at the diff end (front) or transfer box end? Or dosn't it make a difference:confused:

:rulez: RAVE :
"The front propeller shaft consists of a tube with a universal joint and a sliding spline joint at the front end, and a
Hookes joint at the rear end. The universal joint is bolted to the pinion flange of the front axle differential. The Hookes
joint is bolted to the front output shaft of the transfer box."

My props been off some time ago and has been re-fitted with the joint at the front,I seem to rememeber reading somthing maybe an earlyer post on here that the joint should be at the back.I'm changing the uj's in the next few days and would like to make sure i re-fit the prop the correct way around.

The sliding joint should be at the diff end then any water that gets in can drain out and not into the sliding joint.

Just made that up:cool:
