While replacing the 3 x UJ’s on my front prop yesterday I managed to lose a few of the smaller roller needles from the centre bearing in the double cardan joint - it’s all back together and working but obviously not ideal and I need to replace that centre bearing soon.
I’ve found/ordered one and have googled the arse off the process to replace but hoping someone on here has actually done it and can give some pointers on how to remove the bearing itself. I’ve read UP’s guide on discovery2.co.uk but I’m still a bit mystified by how to remove. I don’t want to drop the prop off again and find I’m missing tools or can’t complete it!
So 2 Q’s if I may;
Can anyone suggest tool(s) needed and has anyone that’s done this offer any pointers?
