Hi all,

Hope someone can help. Went to use my Rangie today & the front passenger door would not open either on the fob, key, door switch on the dashboard nor the actual internal door handle. Further investigation & I have found that neither does the electric window nor electric mirror on that door has also stopped working (they all work on all other doors) - it's like the door no longer has power.

Have checked fuses & they all seem OK.

Can anyone help? Any suggestions? Hoping to avoid a trip to the garage/dealer.

Many thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. Don't suppose you have any advice on how to get the door open to check as it's deadlocked?

It's a bit of a job getting in without power so you might want to wait a while. Sometimes this fault can 'repair' itself if the wire re-connects as you go over a bump or something. Then if you can get the door open once grab your chance and get the panel off, it's only four screws and some careful levering.

OK, time for an update.

Tried driving & hoping that the suspect "broken wire" would temporarily repair, thus allowing me to open the passenger door - unfortunately no joy.

Went on holiday abroad for 3 weeks, so left the Range Rover parked up on my drive. Returned yesterday to find my battery had gone flat during that period so left the battery on charge overnight. This morning, jumped back into the Range Rover only to find that now the drivers door will not open on the remote, only on the key. Furthermore, have the same issues with the drivers door as I have with the front passenger door (i.e. no central locking, no mirror adjustment, no window, no window control of rear windows). Strangely, the rear passenger doors both still open & both windows operate on their buttons. Also, when opening the doors on the remote, the indicators no longer flash to confirm the action.

So, either I've been extremely unfortunate with the power cables to both front doors breaking within weeks of each other, or I have a different problem (perhaps related to the central locking on remote). Either way, I've had to succumb & book it into Landrover for a diagnostic, so will keep you posted
