Front Fog Light

I would like to know that too.....

My idea is to remove the front wheel then the two bolts from the bottom of the plastic inner wing and see if I can pull it back far enough to be able to see into the bulb

The bulb that's gone on mine is drivers side, do I have to remove the whole lamp to change the bulb?? Just to be double sure, I'm talking about the lamps below the bumper

It may save you a fine! Highway code rule 236 states that it is an offence to drive with front foglights on except when visibility is impaired (impaired means visibility of less than 100 metres - pretty unusual in Blighty!).

The police use improper use of front fogs as a reason to stop drivers here (as they should!) - often for a breathalyser... ;)

"Spot lights" and "driving lights" are also classed as "full beam".... Should be wired to the full beam circuit as extra lighting out-of-town...not used by thick muppets in good visibility when there's other traffic around to dazzle... (usually mentally-retarded subaru drivers!)

Just pulled mine apart to get it working again.

If you're lazy (like me) just get underneath and take out the two screws either side of the lens - you can then bend the bracket upand take the unit out to get inside to the bulb.

It may not be that the bulb has gone - I thought this myself but found the negative lead had corroded so badly it had become disconnected! I just trapped it in the bulb clamp.....

I took the wheel off, removed the screws from along the bottom edge, peeled back the inner wing and removed the end from the lamp, with the help of a good torch I could see how the bulb came out so I didn't need to remove the whole lamp, so I took the bulb out and tested it on a battery, unfortunately I needed a new one which was 6 fecking quid from Halfrauds :(

EDIT: Even though the tosser in Halfrauds says the bulb is identicle it isn't as bright as the passenger side, either he is wrong or it has something to do with my lense being broken and the the two rear bottom brackets being broken altering the direction of the beam slightly making it look less bright
