has anyone else had this and how do you stop it? The breather isn't blocked but it isn't held in very secure and nearly comes out on the motorway soaking everything in diff oil.
I've two thoughts, zip ties or some kind of instrument fitting screwed in.

The thread is stripped either on the fitting or on the axle or both.
Which is it?
1/8" bsp to 6mm pushfit will screw in to the axle and will fit your breather pipe.

push fit ,,,,prob super glue it in or tapp axle and fit a glyn lewis breather kit or similar ;)

that's what is throwing me, other axels I've worked on have a thread. Neither the axel or the breather have a thread, it looks like a interferance fit.

Super glue sounds like a short term plan! I guess I could tap it out and make something

later axles have push fit tubes maybe the locking fitting is poor
