Hi,

I've been trying to remove the front bumper to replace one the headlight units. But I'm stuck with a couple of rusty screws. They're the ones that connect the front bumper with the wheelarch protection. So it's all soft plastic, so applying force to them is really hard. I've thought about using a screw extractor, but there must be another way to remove body parts of the Freelander without renewing the screws all the time. Can anybody help me get to these screws? Tnx!

I've tried pliers, but they're completely round, so it's very hard to grap them.

@c13tay: Trust me, I've tried. But I can't get to the bottom screw of the unit. According to my manual I need to remove the front bumper first. Unless you've got some kind of trick...

I've had another go at it, but I guess my hands are just to big to get there. So back to the front bumper removal. I've got some screw extractors, so if everything else fails, that'll solve it...

Keep trying

That little nut at the bottom (10mm I think) only need to be slackend a fraction. It slots into a cut out so doesnt need to be removed, just loosened a tad !!
