Front Anti roll bar

Hello all
Still a newbie..so still asking the odd daft questions
Now that I reverted to standard shocks and springs and have got rid of the rear axle noise, I am going to change all my front and rear bushes and bolts in an effort to tighten the whole job up.
Question is this:
I have a rear anti roll bar but not a front one...Should one be fitted? has it been removed? Is there a kit to fit one to stiffen up the handling etc

possibly, possibly not.

get under it and look for the mounts located on the axle. there will also be mounts further back on the chassis rail (same shape/size as the rear set-up.)

if you have these you could fit the front ARB.

My TD5 110 doesn't have either of em.

if your axle has sockets for the ball joints next to radius arm bolt you can just buy new or used one from disco in breakers yard if not you can get after market kit with ball joint brackets provided

yes ,i allways put them on as well as polybushes unless great axle articulation is required

been trawling the internet for an hour

I am coming up short with both Britpart and bearmach...neither do a aftermarket bracket kit in order for me to fit the relevant parts. Would I need to change the axle for one with the brackets next to the radius arm socket brackets? The one on the chassis could be frabricated and welded on.

Took my front one off and did not notice any difference whatsoever. Put it back when I did my engine change but not sure that it actually does anything.

ARBs reduce articulation. If you want to off road then keep them off.

Have eventually added a Front ARB to my 110. It already had a rear ARB, but as 99% of my driving is school run, and driving around fields etc. I do not need a lot of articulation. After fitting the kit, I have found it does actually stiffen up the front end and it does feel more stable on the road.
I bought a TD5 front ARB off Ebay and the kit from Extreme 4X4. Piccies below for the kit...quite easy to do really. Also needed to weld onto the chassis the rear mountings. Needed slightly longer bolts for the radius arms also.

i dont think you will regret it,makes you feel good when you do a good job and it really works too
