French/Italian Alps 09 (photos)

Did Switzerland on bikes a few years ago... into Italy via Gt St Bernard and into France via Mont Blanc on way home.. scenery is stunning, you must have had a bril time.

Griff - report is great - love photo 9. Slide show fantastic - old military roads and highest 4x4 Italian pass - cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you need another shakedown closer to home, its a good destination. Can run through legal passes/routes with you if you go. Its a good cheaper/closer overland destination.

Meant to say - like that Maggiolina roof tent of yours too G. Looked into them as an option a while ago and they seem much more dynamic, lightweight & engineered compared to traditional roof tent options. Maggi's seem to have a very good selection available. Looks like fits nice on your LR.
