I have just purchased my first Freelander, so I am new to the LR community. After posting a thread about obtaining accessories for the vehicle one of the senior members had a bit of a taunt about Freelanders.
Is it a general view of other LR model owners that Freelanders are the "soft relations/puffy" of the LR family. Or is this just a childish opinion of a few????

Regards.

Srellik.

look around the forum - read a few of the threads. Yes, peeps take the ****, but there is a huge amount of info here. It is a friendly, place to meet and chat, where we dont take ourselves too seriously (except Paula). Just look at the Gaylanders arms or Mings wine bar. If you want a boring, staid forum that has to keep on topic, then this isnt the place for you. Wait till you meet Slob and Minge - now there is an experience.

oh - and yes, Gaylanders, Hippoos, Freebies etc, are the constant source of amusement and derision, because Tratta owners (you will understand soon), cant believe that someone else has bought such a pile of crap (and yes - I did have one).

If its a 1.8 its cack. Just keep checking coolant levels. I had one I speak from valuable experience. Ask around they are costly to repair. I have 2 Landies one a RR which is possibly worse for fixin then a freelander.

Appologies. See where you are coming from now. Just a bit of harmless banter.

I have got the TD4 2001 model Freelander. Are they considered ok ?

Regards.:)

Its alright the banter on here teks some getting used too.

I have no experience with TD4 but from what I have heard they are the best of the Freelander range:D

the TD4 is the best of the bunch - but still suffers from most of the Hippoo faults except HGF.

The Dibnah - as distinct from an ordinary dibnah? - its a long story - just do a search for a truck for MHM - and enjoy:D

See what you mean. Reminds me of a customised TATA I once saw at a Max Power cruise in Weston-Super-Maaaaare.
It was owned by a trainee dental hygenist.
PS. Do you think there is a forum site for TATA owners?:D

It's just a childish opinion of a few as far as I'm concerned so shut yer trap.
