Hi.
I have just aquired my first 4 x 4 Freelander. Hopefully this will lead to a Discovery 3 next year. I currently do a bit of off roading in Oman every year both in the desert and the mountains.
My question is that the freelander currently has:
Rear - Dueller Bridgestone HT 684 96S and these need replacing
Front - Kumho Road Venture AT 195 R15 100S and these have plenty of wear left.
I don't plan on doing any serious (or not so serious for that matter) off roading so what is the best tyres to go for when mainly I'll be using the car on the road.
I've been looking at some Falken or Toyo 195 R15 80 96S TL both for around £50 each plus fitting. Are they suitable for my needs? The fronts are 100S will that make a difference? Should I go for exactly the same as the front?
Any help on this is gratefully received.
