Freelander Towing in Mondeo mode ??????

Hi all.
I've just removed the prop from my 2003 Freelander TD4 :/ and am now in mondeo mode......

Would it still be ok to tow a caravan miro 1269 kg. This is only a temporary measure though. (vc and ird require a little bit of love).

I can`t see why not, unless you hit a slippy uphill patch, but its no different than any other front wheel drive car towing.

I towed a friends freelander in mondo.It was under a little less strain than when I towed my dads mitsybitchy pajero...fugg me it was under some strain.I dont know if it would have been easier if the prop was fitted.

I towed our van (1540kg) a few times in mondo without any problems. Gentle standing starts are required if it's wet but it's no worse than any other front wheel drive.

Benn towing mondo for 3 years... no problems except on slippery surface when pulling away.
