Looking good, nearly as shiny as mine!
But I've just bought myself some new snow foam, purple wheel cleaner (for iron apparently?) And a new clay bar. All I need now is a day to myself and you'll be able to see the reflection from space:)

What snow foam have you got, I need some decent stuff. Mine needs a machine polish. Got some 50 Cal filler Polish and hard wax to try. It worked wonders on my Escort. :)

Hi sorry to go off a bit of a tangent but did I see you got your diff seal replaced? If I am not making stuff up again and you did, do you mind giving me an idea on how much to get it done as frankly I think there is a lot of scope for me to cock that up in a spectacular manner. Thanks. Btw your car is looking good mate. I have to jet wash mine tomorrow as went over Salisbury Plain today.

Cheers Phil, yeah I did but got fuel tank cradle, diff mounts done at the same time. Supplied parts, and just paid labour. And paid at a discounted price, as my brother has his own garage. When you get it done, get a Oem seal. Think the make is Corteco. :)

Thanks mate, I looked at it today and maybe ok anyway? Will see what develops. Ok, I have a plan to get car cleaned and shiny, pull out ding and have rubber moulding strips to fit and aim to get done then get decent pictures and put them on.
Really. These are dirty ones from yesterday

Looks good Phil, I've got door mouldings too. But they were delivered just wrapped in bubble wrap and tape. So all twisted and bent. Currently clamped up in the garage. Hopefully fit them soon. :)

Hi mate, Did you have the 'Sport ' etc decal stickers on the doors and remove them? I have them on mine and was wondering if I need to get them off before I put rubber moulding strips on or just go over them. The decals seem very stuck on so I think I could go over the top as the rubber would totally cover them. It looks like a distinct possibility that the paint will come off with the stickers as well. Hope all good

Alright mate, no Mines a E. So no decals. Personally I'd warm them up and remove them. Just checked my door mountings, only any good for the bin. Been clamped up for two weeks but like boomerangs. So that was a waste of money. :(

Sorry to hear about your mouldings. I got mine from Difflock in Devon for £53 after looking for ages at different sites. They all seemed ridiculously expensive but one night I just thought sod it and got them. Came with a free piece of wood to keep them straight and then to mend a fence perhaps or other similar wood based thing. Is the method to get the decals off heating them up? With a hairdryer or something? I was thinking spirits or something. Cheers mare

That's how they should be sent. I'm not going to bother now. Use white spirits after to remove residue, and clean where the rubbing strips are going on. :)

Sport Freelander's didn't get the side bump strips.

The decals can be removed by a hair dryer or similar;)

What he said.......just gentle warming so you don't damage the paint, and take your time. :)

Today have finally mounted rubber side mouldings as have cleaned most of the mud off and taken decals off the doors. Also changed oil and filter. Put in picture of bash plate as well. Whole car needs a good polish now but I have just about done everything I planned too for now. Happy days

Took a shortcut through on of the training ranges on Salisbury Plain yesterday. That track got terrible very quickly but the Freelander was outstanding again, at one point I was surfing along on the sump guard the ruts were so deep! I am so impressed with it. Luckily the army dropped by with my sandwiches
