Freelander Red Restricted performance with error code

There are other posts about this fault warning, but have a bit more info. Friend has the machine to look up error codes-it showed P006A-00 'Manifold absolute pressure-mass or volume air flow correlation'
Not sure that this ties up with previous posts but he suggested the airflow sensor in the air filter right on top of the engine. Any ideas

Normally when there's a correlation error between MAP and MAF sensors, it points to a leak in the intake system, so check every rubber boost pipe for spitting.

How right you were. I couldn't find anything obvious so had to result to dealership. Found a split booster hose that cost me £400 to fix

£400!!!!

For a £20 part. Reportable offence I'd say.

I wish. The part was £115.45, a LR part Intercool hose. Plus labour for investigation and fitting
