also read there going to drop the defender, maybe this new freelander is a split between the defender and freelander

cant see many of the panels lasting off road,

New tratter has been talked about for 15 years.

in my eye's, if it aint got a spare on the bonnet/roof/rear door, it aint a 4x4

i read that there suppose to be dropping the defender, which would be criminal as thats where land rover built its reputation on.

in my own opinion i feel the defender is the top one for sheer strength and ability , LR would be out of there tiny mind if they did indeed stop production of it

will be interesting to see what they finally decide as most of there ideas are really bad

Well that looks like an Evoque for grown ups, so maybe not bad!

IMO LR are moving more and more towards building luxury expensive pose mobiles that require a trip to the dealership even just to change a wiperblade. Getting ridiculous that you can't do anything to them yourself. Once they are 3 years old they probably won't even be worth scrap. All LR care about is selling to the new money in China and India. I think the market for utility LRs is almost gone- most farmers would rather buy a cheaper and more reliable rust free Jap pickup and even military contracts are going the same way. Even Holland is replacing all it's LRs and G Wagons with VW Amorok pickups..
