Hi there, could anyone help,Iv'e got a noise like a spring twanging at the front mostly when I reverse and use full lock when I put it in 1st and pull away it does the same.Driving normal there is no problem.
Thanks by the way I'm new to this forum game

Erm welcome gadge!

To be honist mate I aint heared of that one before!
I suppose youve tried all the obvious things like have a good bounce on the front end, (suspention) see if you can replicate it when you stopped?

Oh! just a thought ! check the front anti roll bar, I once had a VW camper that made the same noise, took me bloody ages to find it, the roll bar had snapped just near the mounting, so when you looked at it all seemed to be normal but if you set off it would seperate with a twang,
Just a thought!;)

It's an early model no ABS.I've just put new pads on and I sat turning the wheel full lock to full lock and there's a twang. Its been doing it for about 18mths so I don't think it's serious or it would've gone on me.

Mine twangs occasionally and the brake pedal seems to thump me in the foot.
I assumed ABSD or Hill decent. Also it seemed to go into Hill decent mode last night ( the light came on , green one) made a god awful noise and braked me to a stop in the middle of the road. Then the light went out and it settled down to its normal bumping, banging self. Clues?

Is he going for the 'most old threads resurected for no apparent reason' award, or is he just trying to up his posts number by typing any old ****e................................................................balls, sussed me....:(
