Do you own a pristine condition Freelander (not Freelander II) that you love to show off? We need you!

I work for the advertising agency PHWT in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire - about ten minutes from Land Rover HQ at Gaydon and the heritage motor centre.

We are responsible for all the global aftersales marketing for Jaguar and Land Rover, such as service reminders and accessories marketing.

One campaign we are currently working on is retaining older vehicle customers, and need a Freelander in top notch condition to use in a photoshoot which will illustrate people walking down a street and gazing admiringly at the Freelander, unaware that it is an older model because it has been serviced at a LR dealership.

We are in desperate need of a vehicle, and decided it would be best to give a Freelander enthusiast the opportunity to get their car valeted inside and out free of charge, and see their vehicle in a global marketing campaign. We would also supply the finished materials so you can see the work your car has done and be proud of its achievements!

Please let me know if you are interested as soon as possible, and if possible send me some pictures of your car.

Many thanks and hope to hear from you soon,

Amelia

Hi Ive got an 03 freelander td4 kalahari in epsom green, its absoloutly mint, 47k with full landrover service history. Im intrested in showing it. Cant upload my pics as there too big for this forum, please reply with your e mail. Thanks Carl

SPAM ALERT! Is this a fookin joke? You have the cheek to come to LZ and get FL1 owners to cover up LR's b@lls up. There is a good reason why they lost their customers, cos their aftersales service was $h!tE. Dont insult us by offering a valet to cover LR's multitude of sins,

After-sales service?
cummon NI - it was a poorly designed, poorly put together, poor service load of sh!te.

LR have consistently failed to accept any problems with this vehicle. The only way they will recover any dignity is to accept the horrific failure rate on the 1.8, and the other well documented faults..

here is an opportunity for LR to show a better light - just don't hold your breath.

Mrs Ming sis pick arse or the'll be trouble. . . .one shot from the rockit will wipe out yer stupid photo shoot. . . .

In the photoshoot just make sure the FL1 has a LZ window sticker, saying.... 'if yer really want your FL1 looking this good, then come to LZ.co.uk and get some proper advice on servicing, for FREE'

if this **** is just down the road from LR and he's doing a photo shoot at a dealers, why is he spamming the net trying to find a suitable gaylander?

would he not be better spamming the dealers fer one?

or has he tried that and bin unable to find one?

I think yu have hit it one, Slob - there aint any happy Hippoo owners.

:p In the words of my teenage nieces ... "Whatever!"

Any oppurtunity to post one of my favourite pics ...

If you look close enough, you can see Mrs Blip is wearing her "if yer really want your FL1 looking this good, then come to LZ.co.uk and get some proper advice on servicing, for FREE" tee-shirt.

Cheers

Blippie

if you showed the picture taken 5mins later, we'd be able to see you, standing looking down at yer doors, flat cap in one hand while scratching yer head with yer other hand

Blippie - with no disrespect to Mrs Blip, are we allowed to be Politically Incorrect and call for the Landyzone.co.uk wet T-shirt photoshoot?
Tratter boys in blonde wigs need not apply.
Regards to Mrs. Blip ;)

I agree MHM with the k-series (V6 and 1.8), although this was Powertrains issue, as far as they were concerned their order books were full to supply LR, MG-Rover, Lotus, Caterham, Westfield kit cars. They werent going to spend money on R+D. They did help design the oil rail and MLS gasket with LR team though.

One of the main issues with the FL1 as you well know, was the 0.8% difference in the ratios of IRD and rear differential, yet it took LR 4 years to rectify the problem.
If LR want to redeem themselves, then a recall and refit of the new IRD would be a step in the right direction, In reality thats never going to happen.

Oh yes the FL1 sold like hot cakes but it was a write off from concept to consumer, coupled by LR's poor aftersales customer service, lengthy waiting times to have vehicles repaired under warranty, with no gaurantee of a courtesy car. Their attitude stank.

As much as I am a FL1 fan I admit it is riddled with faults

If the best idea that PHWT can come up with is peeps playing music on bits of a Freelander II - ITS BIN DONE BEFORE!!!!

Not only that - there are a lot of peeps that would say its better in bits acting as a musical instrument, than in one lump sitting on garage 4 poster.
