any ideas

fitted a new cam belt and injection pump belt on a 98 freelander L series engine running fine starts 1st time no smoke at all even if driven hard but the engine managment light flashes on now and again mostly when on light load. fitted new turbo inlet hose as the old one was split and closing up under load thought this was restricting air flow. the battery was disconnected could this have anything to do with the fault funny thing is it seems to be pulling better than ever so don't think the timing is out ??
any help would be appreciated

many thanks

could be an old fault code ,and wants reseting [just ignore it] or diss battery and that should sort it. . . .

Needs Testbook on it to wipe ECU fault codes, go on, you know it's worth doing properly, if fault comes back, you know it's not "Historic" as they say in the "Stealers" meaning old fault, and if it returns it should tell you where the fault is.

You may have an electrical fault like a lose connection. unlike others on this site who have nuts and bolts for brains. Don't disconnect just in case another problem occurs in the future.
