Hi all. I have my old 2001 Freelander. It was running fine and engine etc all runs ok. Thought since yesterday, remote central locking, all passenger door locks, electric side mirrors, all windows, lock all door button etc have stoped working. I have gone through each of the fuses to check if any had blown but all fuses are fine. Its an old car and I am wondering gif any one here has had this issue? and what solutions there might be? Engine has done 96k and runs perfectly fine, heating works, radio works... so its just those items above that have stopped working. Hope someone here can help.

Mirrors aren't CCU controlled, nor are windows, I don't think.
On a 2001 model the CCU controls the window relays so they operate for 1/2 a minute or so after ignition is switch off. You're right though, doesn't look like they get involved with mirrors.

Probably worth looking at a wiring diagram, see what's common between the CCU and mirrors.

First thing I'd try though would be to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes and see if that 'resets' anything. Would be worth your while downloading the Rave Workshop Manual, info here...

It has info about the bits you talk about and full electrical wiring diagrams. There's 2 versions for Freelander, you want the later MY01 version. You need a Windows PC to run it on.

Do these items fail when the engine it running?
Do these items fail when the engine is switched oft?
