Hi All, I noticed a trail of fluid on the road just outside my drive. On inspection I found the HP metal feed pipe to the rack had rusted through. I have to buy the HP rubber pipe and the metal feed & return pipes as I could not separate the lock ring at the joint. The metal return pipe next to the feed pipe had no rust at all. This does seem strange as they are side by side. Although I only needed the one pipe I could only find sites that supplied both at a cost of £65. I have been quoted £62.50 for the heavy duty HP hose from the pump.
Does anyone know if the pipes can be supplied separately as it does seem a waste.
The car is a 2007 Freelander 2 which has now done 100,000. I am now having to carry out the major service to transmission.

I forgot to say... If the lrcat parts catalogue calls up the pipes as a set only without individual part numbers for each part then lr only sell them as a set and not individual.
