Good afternoon bit of a long shot but my wife hit a deer in our freelander 2 this morning she cracked the bumper and dented the passenger side wing ive got it all straightened up but we have hdc not available transmission fault flashing up i cant see any snagged wires ect she said it come on as soon as she hit the deer ive checked all the fuses ect thanks in advance

Hope the wife is ok. Thankfully the FL2 is a very sturdy vehicle.
It'll need a diagnostic. But at a guess it could be speed sensor related on the impact side.
I'd also check for distortion of the suspension, which can happen in situations like this.

Shes fine thank you yes I initially thought the speed sensor but the abs light isnt on which seems strange all the suspension components seem fine thankfully just need a new wheel arch liner

Your best bet is to run a diagnostic, which will tell you what the issue is. A decent all systems diagnostic can be bought for less than a diagnostic read at an LR dealer.
