Freelander 1 radio problems

Hi

I have a 2003 Freelander 1 ES Premium. It has the H/K radio/satnav with the 6 disc cd changer under the drivers seat. Everything works fine except the Bass just stopped working, I have checked the controls on the radio facia and the plugs on the back of the unit, but no joy, any ideas on what the problem may be.

To follow on from the Swimming pool in the boot area, there are some plugs and a sub woofer located there, might be worth checking the connections
