Hi just picked freelander1 up prop making a bangin clunking noise and been under it looks like prop gone looks ok the bit into vcu but wen rev engine up gear leave shakes and moves like it's trying to pull it through the floor
Anyone ideas would be greatfull I just not sure how post pics to thred

The engine, gearbox & IRD are all bolted to each other as a single 'lump'. If the gearstick is moving around its cos the engine is moving about. I'm sure your problem will be the lower mounting bracket/damper/tie rod for the engine. This is a short tie rod with round bushes at each end that bolts between the front subframe and the IRD bracket (near the drivers side driveshaft).

Either its fallen off or the bushes are shot.
 
No hoists/jacks needed - the 'main' engine mounts are on top of the engine and support it. This one just stops it from swaying.

If it is that bad though - check it hasn't destroyed the top ones with all the movement.
