hi , this might have been covered before but does anyone know where i can get the front plastic light guards for the facelift freelander 1 , i have searched everywhere i can think of and can still find rears but no fronts . i need 2 sets for my son and me . any help would be appreciated . cheers, stu..:fighting2:

Not available from the steelers anymore. They were £130ish new.
Had no luck getting a pattern part either UK or EU sourced:

Last set I watched go through eBay went for £180!
I'm now messaging anyone breaking a facelift FL1 to see if the guards are available. No luck yet.

Seeing Bukko's post about welding, I had a flashback about lamp guards as a while ago I wanted some metal ones for the front that aren't for sale.
On an old thread I made I saw an Ebay seller states on their 'shop': ''
'WE CAN ALSO MAKE LIGHT GUARDS TO YOUR REQUIRMENTS DEPENDING ON A PATTERN ETC TO WORK FROM''.
Metal rear guards are available for the facelift MK1 freelander here:

Maybe the seller can be contacted, and asked if he's up for a group buy to design some metal front guards to go with his metal rear ones?

I'll definately be up for a metal front set if there'e enough of us to do a group bid? I could also supply a plastic left headlight guard as a pattern, unfortunately some kind person decided to nick my right side one,fittings and all!
