Unfortunately the drivers listed in that thread are NLA, which is a shame, as they worked better than the crappie HK offering.
I found a Pyle PLPW6D for £20, so ordered one to try, while I still look for a HK unit.
I will let you know how it sounds

They're was an Amazon seller who was out of stock for a long while, so maybe he's got some more.
The UK audio supplier in that old thread used to list them for under £10, with £5 shipping, but £20 on Amazon isn't too bad.
Price was £23 with shipping.
Arrived today, not has heavy has original, connected up and running in. It is making a good bass note, but for £23 cannot complain at all
So here is a picture of the double din Pioneer unit in and working. I am using the Harmon Kardon Amplifier and all speakers including sub are working. Sound quality is much better than original Ford head unit.
Also I have full DAB radio using original aerial and a splitter for fm/dab. Bluetooth phone connection to.
