glad to see another forum with a bunch of small minded people that have nothing better to do than critisize others and buy the way i come from a land rover family my dad has owned 2 series 1, 4 series 2 and a couple of series 3's and i have had a series 1 and a series 3 but this is my first disco and i do enjoy a bit of circle work in the mud and it is easier to do in 2wd than it is in 4wd and as for owning a pajero i know what i would prefer to drive long distance in so if you don't want to give a realistic answer to a genuine question from a new disco owner don't bother posting in this thread thanks

First point You have had several sensible answers in this thread. More than I would have expected you to get with such a stupid pointless question. If you wanna play at been a drifter get a BMW.

second point is if you don't like it here then please feel free to **** off and post your banal drivel somewhere else.

sorry barmatt i wasn't moaning just this is my first fulltime 4wd as stated i have owned earlier landies but very hard to get a good county here and as i wanted a v8 the disco is the next best thing but i do love my disco

firstly to gratch na mate you got it wrong i meant your dad and i could have a cuppa tea and a scone while i have my cock in ya mums arse while she sucks your dad off you dumb ****!

and to redhand i do apprieciate the sensible replies just can't stand idiots as i was always told if you have nice to say don't say anything at all cheers

well uunfortunately that's not how this forum works. If you'd bothered to have a look round and read a few posts before you logged on. you'd have realised this. There are plenty of other landy forums where you could have posted. and had nice friendly replies (eventually if you were lucky)

Think of this place as a boozer. if the atmosphere & clientele aren't to your liking. just move along and find somewhere else to quench your thirst.

Not moaning....really:confused::confused:

If it's your first full time 4wd why do you then want to make it 2wd/4wd?

I think you've completely missed the way this site works, go back and read all the stickies before throwing toys out of your pram then come back with a whole new outlook on LZ and you'll find help and advice (along with the usual **** taking) a lot more forthcoming

Oh I see, it's just my dad you're interested in;) ^^^^

You can't stand idiots? But you can't get away from yourself:doh:

On LZ the saying is- if you don't have anything nice to say, then say it and let everyone know.

That's about the way it is, Gratch.
I wonder why this thread blew up so unpleasantly?

I mean, we can all agree it was a silly question in the first place, but people need to understand that on this forum, if they ask silly questions, loads of people are going to tell them they asked silly questions, and they might even explain why.

It's how clever people learn. Fools fling insults and learn nothing.

I reckon pikey summed it up quite succinctly in posts #22 & #25.

Sometimes the fools flinging insults and learning nothing need showing how foolish they are being.

i thought it was a resonable question,i dont understand why anybody feels the need to be so antagonistic, as an onlooker you have to wonder at what age these people are (mentally)it seems like been back at primary school or if they have a social life or what but it certainly makes you draw our own conclusions , is there an hierarchy or is it open to anybody

I presume you're talking about post #17 where the antagonism started.

I also think your advice was..erm..'misguided'

as i see it the op bought a permenant 4 wheel drive then came up with a mad idea to convert it to part time 4wd so he could play slinging mud about.... then got upset when he was told he was an idiot..

if he dont like what hes told thats his problem... i aint going to change my mind about him..
